Combat proven

With more than 500 shelter units in service worldwide for NATO forces and allied countries, the EADS TransHospital system is proven through its utilization in combat support, disaster recovery and humanitarian missions.

This experience has validated TransHospital’s capabilities as field hospitals, rescue centers and for logistics support, serving both on land and sea.  The mobility of TransHospital, combined with its rapid set-up and modular expansion, brings major medical care closer to the front lines than ever before.

Germany's army and air force are largest operational users of TransHospital systems.

TransHospital systems are in the inventories of the German Army, Air Force and Navy; the Spanish Air Force; Singapore Navy; United Arab Emirates Army, and Slovenian Army.  In addition, the U.S. Army currently is evaluating TransHospital for its Future Medical Shelter System (FMSS) requirement.

Germany is one of the largest military users today, with current deployments including a 260-bed field hospital in Kosovo and a combat support hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan.   These facilities perform a full range of medical services, treatment and diagnostics – from surgeries, burn treatment and dentistry to food chemistry, microbiology and patient recovery.

TransHospital is designed for autonomous operations. The highly mobile container-based shelters are equipped with self-contained electrical power, air, water, gasses, communications systems and medical equipment.

The production and evolution of TransHospital benefits from the systems and integration expertise of EADS, which is one of the world’s largest aerospace and defense companies.
